Rapid Health Screening with Nirog Scan at PNB Bank, Bhubaneswar

Case overview

In 2022, Nirog Scan was deployed at the Punjab National Bank (PNB) regional office in Bhubaneswar to screen employees and visitors for potential COVID-19 symptoms. Designed as a non-invasive, rapid health diagnostic station, the system enabled daily screening for over 25 employees and incoming clients, helping the bank maintain business continuity and safety during the pandemic.

The Brief

During the peak of the pandemic, maintaining workplace safety became critical for essential service providers like banks. PNB Bhubaneswar sought a rapid, accurate, and contact-minimal screening system to detect potential infections among staff and clients without disrupting daily operations. The goal was to implement a scalable health monitoring solution that could identify early indicators of illness and prevent potential outbreaks in a high-traffic environment.

Our Approach

Nirog Scan was installed at the bank’s main entrance and configured to monitor key physiological indicators correlated with COVID-19 symptoms.

Infrared Thermal Sensing

Accurate surface temperature measurement within ±0.2°C to detect fever, one of the earliest signs of infection.

ECG & SpO₂ Integration

Touch-based ECG and oxygen level readings to detect abnormalities in cardiovascular rhythm or oxygen desaturation linked to respiratory infections.

AI-Driven Anomaly Detection

A proprietary algorithm that cross-analyzed temperature, SpO₂, and ECG data to flag potential symptomatic individuals in under 30 seconds, minimizing manual intervention.

The Results

The Nirog Scan deployment proved instrumental in maintaining workplace safety and operational efficiency during the pandemic.

100% daily health screening coverage

For all employees and visitors.
